The South Sydney Rabbitohs are pleased to announce their squad for Magic Round ten of the 2023 NRL Premiership against the Melbourne Storm to be played this Saturday 6 May at 7:45pm at Suncorp Stadium.
Rabbitohs Head Coach Jason Demetriou has named prop Liam Knight on the interchange bench, having made a successful return from injury in NSW Cup last weekend.
Winger Alex Johnston will play his 200th NRL game this Saturday night against the Melbourne Storm, having made his NRL debut on ANZAC Day in 2014 against the Broncos at the same ground as this Saturday’s game, Suncorp Stadium. Johnston has gone on to become the Club’s leading all-time try scorer and has represented both Papua New Guinea and Australia. Johnston will become just the eighth player in South Sydney’s history to play 200 or more first grade games for the Club since 1908.
One of those players in the 200-game club at the Rabbitohs is prop Thomas Burgess who will play his 219th NRL match this Saturday night, moving him into outright third on the Club’s all-time first grade games list, behind only John Sutton (336 games) and Adam Reynolds (231 games).
