The South Sydney Rabbitohs are pleased to announce their squad for round three of the 2023 NRL Premiership, Multicultural Round, against the Sydney Roosters to be played this Friday 17 March at 8pm at Allianz Stadium.

Rabbitohs Head Coach Jason Demetriou has named Junior Tatola and Hame Sele to return to the middle of the field for this clash with the Roosters.

Thomas Burgess will move into fourth place on the Club’s all-time most-capped player list this Friday night. He will play his 212th first grade game for South Sydney, surpassing Bob McCarthy who played 211 first grade games for the Club during his storied career.

Round three is the first leg of the Ron Coote Cup for season 2023, named in honour of South Sydney and Eastern Suburbs legend, Ron Coote AM. Mr Coote won six premierships and played in nine Grand Finals during his 15 seasons playing first grade football with both South Sydney and Eastern Suburbs. The Ron Coote Cup is played across both home and away fixtures in any given season, with the winner determined by the aggregate score from those two regular season matches. The Rabbitohs will be aiming to claim the Ron Coote Cup for the sixth consecutive year in 2023, having secured the trophy by just two points last season.
