The South Sydney Rabbitohs are pleased to announce their squad for Indigenous Round 12 of the 2023 NRL Premiership against the Parramatta Eels to be played this Friday 19 May at 8pm on Bidjigal land at Allianz Stadium.
Rabbitohs Head Coach Jason Demetriou has named Blake Taaffe and Daniel Suluka Fifita on the interchange bench replacing Jed Cartwright and Thomas Burgess.
A huge line up of entertainment will accompany this blockbuster match up at Allianz Stadium, the Rabbitohs’ first official home game at the Stadium since it reopened in 2022.
Multiple-ARIA Award winning performer Christine Anu will headline the pre-game production which will include performances from the Brolga Dance Academy, Didgeridoo performances by Matthew Doyle, Nathan Leslie, Glen Doyle, Brock Tutt and Joe Horoa, the Welcome to Country being performed by Bidjigal Elder Aunty Barb Simms, a violin performance by Eric Avery and a parade of Indigenous sporting greats including Nova Peris, Amanda Reid, Yvonne Simms, Ruth Simms, Barb Simms, Glen Kelly, Tony Mundine, Gary Ella, Mark Ella, Marcia Ella-Duncan, Michael O’Loughlin, Steve Ella, Lavina O’Mealey, Johnathan Thurston, Greg Inglis and the family of the legendary Eric Simms.
